SA Rossfechten

Based in Harrogate, South Australia, SA Rossfechten is a mounted living history group dedicated to recreating historical training principles of the horse to the highest level. This was the original purpose of dressage...to develop an elite war horse equivalent in both military and financial value to our modern day fighter jets. At SA Rossfechten, we use these techniques in context, specialising in mounted fencing (also known as Rossfechten) along with other mounted combat activities to recreate what is ultimately living art.

While the Baroque horse breeds are traditionally favoured for medieval mounted combat, horses and riders of all types and levels are welcome to come and discover this fun, yet disciplined art form.
